Navarra’s kennel
Breeding of Danish/Swedish Farm dogs

History

I have been breeding dogs by the prefix Navarra’s since the 70th century. At that time Newfoundland was my one and only breed. In 1987 I bought my first Danish/Swedish Farmdog after seeing a picture of a little “cross-bred” lovely dog, turning out to be a D/S Farmdog. I was so delighted, and from the very beginning I fell in love in with the breed and that’s the way it is ever since. I have never regretted this choice; with a farm dog in your house you will get a good laugh everyday. It is a cheerful, active dog with a never ending energy. All of them are also great personalities.

Min first D/S Farm dog was bought in 1987 named Möllebo’s Arro. He became a father of SUCH Rävdansen’s Rambo, who was a successful show dog and became SV in 1992 and 1994. These two dogs are the base in my breeding, even though I have bitches from different lines. Today I have Purka’s Jessie, imported from Denmark, SUCH Snudiga’s Edelweiss, SUCH Lenskogen’s Maria Magdalena, Haritza’s Nanna and Navarra’s Darling. I also co-own Navarra’s Bira, Navarra’s Älskling and Navarra’s Chikolina. In our family we also have a shiba named Minoutzi´s Beni-Kokeshi.

The farm dog wants company to feel comfortable. It loves being with their family and dislike being left alone at home. As the dog is very active, you must stimulate it both mentally and physically. If you are prepared to do so, you will have a real pal and companion.
